I loved how popular yesterday's beach cottage was. It's such a lovely, simple home with everything in it either recycled, upcycled or locally sourced - plus they'd made the big move out of the city too. It just shows how much this lifestyle resonates with us all, don't you think?! I've got another beautiful home to share with you today, this time though it's about another form of escapism - like heading back to bed with a freshly brewed coffee and a copy of The Kinfolk Home! Located in Gothenburg, this Swedish apartment from the 1920's simply has the most dreamy bedroom ever - think clouds, fresh air and serenity! Loving the grey tones throughout too - and simple, inspiring details! Enjoy....

I was chatting to the owner of Miloii, a beautiful lifestyle shop here in Malmö, Southern Sweden earlier this week and she let slip that her home had recently been captured by Andrea Papini and Emma Persson Lagerberg. Naturally I shot home to scour the net, and as predicted, Karolina Vertus (who is also a stylist and make-up artist) has the most beautiful apartment. Married to Daniel Magnusson, the couple live with their two young daughters in the centre of town and have decorated their home in soft, muted tones and the perfect blend of modern design and bohemian vintage finds. Let's take a peek....

If you live in or around Malmö, first, why haven't we met for coffee?! And two, many of the items you see can be bought at Miloii - although I'd like to warn you that the store also sells the most fabulous clothes (very dangerous indeed!).

When it's cold outside, the allure of staying indoors and padding around in slippers drinking tea all day is just so appealing, don't you think?! This lovely home in Gothenburg is like a calm oasis in the heart of the city - and with that vast kakelugn (masonry oven), a perfect cocoon from the snow outside the window too! Let's take a tour...

What a perfect home. Loving the original wood floors, large windows and high ceilings. But also the quirky touches - like the 'hand key-holder' in the hallway! (Areaware sells all kinds of hands like this including a hand dock, hand hook, and even a bestow hand!).

Other items I know and love: SINNERLIG pendant lamp, this watercolour / auqarelle wall hanging is similar (also seen in this home), keep an eye out here for a bumling light in brass, white linen bedding, cactus I print, children's bed, hektar lamp.

Does anyone know where the wooden chair and pendant lamp in the bedroom are from? I'd love to know!

I'm gearing up for a quick trip to London tomorrow to meet my publisher (my booklaunches in just two weeks - so exciting!). I can't wait to see my little niece again too, I miss those baby cheeks! I'm also looking forward to a great curry (one of the things I miss most about London is great Indian take-aways!).

Hello! It's one of those rare winter mornings when the sun is shining and there's frost clinging to the branches of the trees - so pretty! I'm going to go for a walk along the beach shortly (well wrapped up  of course! Brrrrr!). But first, I'm keen to share this elegant apartment that's currently for sale through Entrance in Gothenburg. This apartment has the works - high ceilings, lovely arched windows, original wood floors, and even a small balcony. And of course it's been beautifully staged with shades of grey and luscious green plants throughout. Could you love here?

Did you spot the rare sight of a TV on here? Always good for inspiration! Remember this home where the TV was ingeniously hidden when not in use?

I also spot some pretty fairylights on the balcony - I was at a friends house the other day and she had hung some up over their breakfast nook - I don't think I'll ever tire of the pretty twinkle - perhaps it's time to dig out mine again?

Hello Monday! I hope you had a great weekend? I read recently that people's living spaces are getting smaller. People around the world are downsizing to save money, live greener and well....because they've realised that small can be beautiful too. And this home in Stockholm's Södermalm district is a prime example. Measuring a mere 29 metres square (312 square foot) it's comfortable and practical (double bed - check!
